①Consultation
Get advice on a wide range of everyday life in Japan, from cultural customs and how to pay taxes to finding places to go. If needed, we can look things up and give you an answer during the consultation.
Please note that we do not provide advice that requires specialist knowledge or involves business matters.
The service is available either in English or Japanese.
- Video consultation: Perfect for things that are difficult to explain by text. We can also look at photos, maps, and websites together while we talk. You can also use this as a regular life coaching session for your everyday life in Japan.
- E-mail consultation: Ask questions whenever you want to, and keep the conversation so you can look back at it later. It’s also a good option if you need to take your time to think and write things down. I’ll reply within 2 business days.
- Chat consultation: The easiest way to ask a quick question and get a quick answer. We normally reply to questions on the same day (10am-6pm). If your question is urgent, I’ll do my best to reply as quickly as possible.
②Phone calls
We can make phone calls on your behalf, such as restaurant or event bookings, or inquiries when you need to get information.
For calls exceeding 15 minutes, an additional fee of ¥300 applies for every additional 5 minutes.
③Japanese online lesson
Maru-san, an experienced professional Japanese teacher, offers online lessons focused on conversation practice.
I can adjust the topics and pace to suit your needs. I’ll correct your mistakes, suggest more natural ways to say things, and create your own personalised lesson notes as we go.
④Property Viewing
If you’re not yet living in Japan, we can visit a property on your behalf and give you a detailed report.
The basic fee includes:
- 10–20 photos covering all rooms, the exterior, and the surrounding area, plus a video or live viewing
- A viewing report covering the basic information, the condition, terms, things to be aware of, and more
- Transportation costs within Tokyo’s 23 wards
*Additional property viewings on the same day: from ¥5,500

⑤Lifeline setup
We can help you set up essential utilities and services such as water, electricity, gas, and internet.
The basic fee includes:
- An explanation in English of the basic contract terms, including fees, contract periods, and important notes
- Assistance with inquiries and phone calls related to the contract
The following are not included:
- Researching and introducing service providers
- On-site attendance (*Available as part of On-site Support)

Depending on the nature of the request, some services may not be possible.
⑦Document translation
We translate paper documents and notices you receive from government offices, schools, service providers, and other organisations into English or French.
⑧Interpretation (Phone)
For situations where you need a little help with communication but don’t need someone to be there in person, I can provide interpretation over the phone.
This service is not available for business matters, contracts, or other important transactions.
